Privacy Policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
Market Bishop is a search, AI visibility and social media reporting platform operated by Market Bishop. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how you can have it deleted.
Who We Are
Market Bishop (marketbishop.com) is operated by Market Bishop, 2901 West Coast Hwy #200, Newport Beach, CA 92663. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Market Bishop. Questions go to support@marketbishop.com.
Market Bishop is used by businesses and by marketing agencies on behalf of their clients. When an agency uses Market Bishop for a client, the agency decides which of that client's accounts are connected, and we process that data on the agency's instructions.
Data We Collect
Account data. Name, email address, organization name, role and sign-in activity for people who use Market Bishop.
Business data you enter. Website addresses, business names, locations, phone numbers, keywords, competitors and similar details about the businesses being tracked.
Website visitor data. When you run the free audit: the website you enter and, if you unlock the report, your first name and email address, plus your mobile number only if you add it. When you use the Ask assistant: your questions and, if you choose "Talk to a person", your name and email address. Like most websites we also receive your IP address and browser details, which we use for security and rate limiting.
Public web data. Search engine results, public website content, public business listings and answers from AI assistants, gathered to measure rankings and visibility.
Data from accounts you connect. Only when an authorized person connects an account through that platform's official sign-in, and only for the permissions shown on that platform's consent screen:
- Google (Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Business Profile): search performance, website traffic, conversions, ad performance and business profile insights.
- Facebook Pages: Page details, Page and post insights (such as reach, views, engagement and follower counts), and post and comment content on that Page.
- Instagram professional accounts: profile details, media and their insights (such as views, reach, engagement and follower counts), and comments on that account's media.
- Public competitor data: basic public metrics of other Instagram professional accounts (such as follower count, number of posts and engagement on public posts), retrieved through Instagram's official Business Discovery feature using your connected account.
We do not collect passwords for Google, Facebook or Instagram. Connections use each platform's official sign-in and access tokens, which you can revoke at any time.
How We Use Data
- To show dashboards, audits, competitor comparisons and reports to the business and the agency that manages it.
- To find problems with websites and social profiles and, when you approve it, apply fixes you choose.
- To attribute leads and conversions to the search, ad or social channel that produced them.
- To generate written summaries and recommendations, which may involve sending relevant data to AI service providers acting on our behalf.
- To answer questions asked through the Ask assistant and support requests, and to send the audit report and follow-up emails you asked for (unsubscribe in one click).
- To run, secure and support the service.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use data from connected Google, Facebook or Instagram accounts for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles of individual people.
Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and keep marketing cookies off on that browser. You can also opt out on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
The Ask Assistant
The Ask assistant on our website answers questions from our public Help Center. Your questions, and the last few messages of the conversation, may be processed by an AI service provider acting on our behalf to write the answer. We use them to answer you, to prevent abuse and to improve the Help Center. Please do not type passwords, payment details or other sensitive information into it. If you choose "Talk to a person", your name, email address, question and the conversation are sent to our support team as a support request.
Text Messages
When you run the free audit you may add a mobile number and, separately, tick a box agreeing to receive text messages from Market Bishop about your audit, marketing tips and offers, including by automated means (up to 4 messages a month; message and data rates may apply). Consent is optional and is not a condition of any purchase. We store the exact wording you agreed to, the time and your number as a record of consent. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
Google User Data
Market Bishop's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Facebook and Instagram Data
Data received from Meta platforms is used only to provide the features described above to the business that owns the connected account and the agency it authorized. It is shown only to people with access to that business in Market Bishop. We do not transfer it to data brokers or use it for any purpose Meta's Platform Terms prohibit.
Who We Share Data With
We share data only with service providers that help us run Market Bishop, under contracts that limit their use of it: cloud hosting and database providers, search and keyword data providers, AI model providers, email delivery and payment processing. We may also disclose data if required by law. If you are an agency's client, your agency can see your data in Market Bishop.
How Long We Keep Data
We keep data while the account that owns it is active. Metrics from connected social and Google accounts are kept for up to 24 months to show trends, then removed. When an account is disconnected, we stop collecting new data from it. When you ask us to delete data, we delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
Your Choices and Deletion
- You can disconnect any Google, Facebook or Instagram account at any time inside Market Bishop or from that platform's own settings.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing support@marketbishop.com.
- Step-by-step deletion instructions are on our Data Deletion page.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell personal information. Marketing cookies on our website only run with your permission; to opt out of any sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information, turn off Marketing in Cookie Settings, or send a Global Privacy Control signal.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by organization and client with row-level security, and access tokens for connected accounts are stored separately from general app data and are never shown to end users.
Children
Market Bishop is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
